I just realized that I haven't written in this thing in over a year, mainly because no one reads it, but meh. I decided to do some form of thing because the Solution entry just really annoyed me.

Well, what can I say? It's been a year since I wrote this. If you follow my art, you'll see I had a pretty drastic improvement from the stuff from 2007 and beforehand. It just happened sporadically, but all I can say is 'thank you.' It happened after my mother commented on my work, and it wasn't really a good comment, so I kinda just took a break, read some manga, and just improved. Even though I didn't like the statement, it still helped me because she pushed me to change my style, even if it was a little.

Sith and her family even had a make-over in the past year, too. Some of them have been posted, some not, but Sith has had the most change. She just doesn't look so innocent anymore, and that's fine with me. I did my best to not make my own beloved character too much like me, but all OCs are ultimately an extension of us, so it makes sense that she changed in the past year, right?

Heh. I've also gotten back into writing my novel, where Sith originated from. Most people think I made her just for fanfiction and roleplaying. Not true. I made her for a novel, and this year, because I was finally confident in my writing, I actually fired up and made a novel. So, I have that going for me, and my little book is becoming pretty interesting. Feel free to ask if you want to read it.

What's in an OC, though? Many people ask why I still use them in fanfiction, because that's the main reason no one reads my stories. I don't know why, actually. I just love my characters. I admit, they're probably a bit too much for Yu-Gi-Oh, but I still like them nonetheless. The interactions they do have with the canon characters isn't what you'd expect from most OCs, or most female ones. The star OCxcanon pair is really rocky, too. They could go from being really caring, to a drag out argument in very short time. :3 I recently redid all of my YGO fics just to portray their new relationships and Sith's actual personality. Four years ago, she barely had any, and she was too wild. Now, she's actually got a base and a pretty good backstory, even if overused in the first fanfic, but eventually, that all gets explained away. Yay for plotholes.

Other than fanfiction, art, writing, and actual studying, I might also try my hand at poetry. I have one line written for a poem I'm writing to display what I feel for my hometown, but I'm usually easily distracted, and therefore the process is slow. But wish me luck, because, now that I'm nearly 20, I know it's time I get my ass out there. And the wonderful sites like DeviantArt and Fanfiction.net is doing that for me to a certain extent.

...then again, maybe I should get a job first. XD That way, if my dreams of being an 'omni-artist,' or someone who pretty much does whatever mediums she wants at whatever times she feels, bombs, I still have something to fall onto. :3 And yes, I made up the word 'omni-artist.' Sue me for it.

Other than that, though, nothing else is going on here. We got a new kitty earlier this year, and she's a sweetheart. Name's Maya, and she pretty much sits with me while I work on my dreams. Rusty's getting older, but he's still running strong for a Pomeranian. You wouldn't think he was 10. He acts like a puppy.

...and this is definitely the longest entry I've ever written. Ha! Didn't think it was possible, but I guess a year of nothing would do this to you. Meheh. Maybe I'll write another entry before next year? Depends. Are YOU all worth it? Are you!?
